Crooked House

Crooked House

An unusual commission. The customer scratched out a drawing and told me that folk build "get away" cottages like this in the woods in places such as  Montana and the Appalachians.

The intended effect of that of cottage made from rough sawn planking with wooden tiles (shingles) for a roof. Windows tend to be a bit grimy, everything is a little "wonky" including the chimney for the little pot stove.

As you see it here October 2017, it is not yet finished. The window panes are too large, the roof is incomplete etc etc.
